Yunus Emre Institute has developed a Turkish Proficiency Exam (TPE) model according to the proficiency definitions specified in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for the purposes of assessing the language proficiencies of individuals learning Turkish as a foreign language, and has started to apply this exam at an international level.
Through this practice, the Institute aims to create a standardized Turkish exam that is internationally recognized, and to support policies to facilitate Turkey’s acceptance of foreign students.
You also can acquire the Turkish Proficiency Certificate by participating in the Turkish Proficiency Exam, held 3 times a year. Turkish Proficiency Exam is organized on the dates determined by Yunus Emre Institute and announced at tys.yee.org.tr. The exam is administered simultaneously in Turkey and all other countries where Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Centers are located.
