Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Hosted Advisor of Pakistani Prime Minister Irfan Siddiqui in Istanbul

Irfan Siddiqui, National History and Literary Heritage Advisor of Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who was in Istanbul for official visits between 20-23 May 2017, was hosted by Yunus Emre Enstitüsü officials in Istanbul.

Irfan Siddiqui, who visited various educational and cultural venues including Istanbul University, accompanied by Lahore Yunus Emre Enstitüsü Director Prof. Dr. Halil Toker, was informed about the Enstitü's Lahore and Karachi branches in Pakistan during the meeting with Enstitü representatives. Siddiqui pointed out the importance of contributions of these institutes to relations between Turkey and Pakistan, by reiterating their and Pakistani Government's interest in and support for Yunus Emre Enstitüsü.

Following the negotiations, Prof. Dr. Halil Toker presented Irfan Siddiqui with a gift of appreciation for the close interest shown and contributions to Yunus Emre Enstitüsü centres in Pakistan.
